This morning, our Personal Trainer (aka. Lyle) gave us each a workout session at the gym he works at. While Liz was at the gym, I took Will and Emma to the park across the street. We had a quick snack (cheese and bikkies/crackers) and headed straight for the swings!

Even though Emma knows how to swing herself, she wanted me to push her really high so I would give her 10 pushes, run over to Will and give him 10 pushes, then back over to Emma, etc...
When Liz came out from the gym, we switched places and I went in for my session. It felt so good to get a workout in!
Once we'd showered and put Will down for his nap, the girls (Liz, Emma, and I) went to the mall for lunch and groceries.

(SumoSalad: our lunch spot)

Grocery stores are so different here. First off, almost all the brands are different (as you'd expect) and in the produce section, there were several options, but not a lot of each option. Nothing was running out, but after produce aisles in CA where piles of veggies are stacked on each other, it looked a little sparse. I may have indulged in buying a little Australian treat. Tim Tams. :)
This afternoon, our activities consisted of being chased around and around the house, making tunnels, cars, and "fruit bowls" with the pillows on the couches, Will tried on my boots and walked around a bit, and more reading. These kids LOVE to be read to which works out really well because I LOVE reading to kids. I actually brought a few books with me to give to the kids, and even though this is only my third day here, we have read those two books several times at least.

Cannot get enough of this cute boy!!!!!!! He has the best smiles

I love their bed time routine. After dinner, Liz reads a Bible story and both William and Emma are mesmerised the entire time. Lyle will pray and then it's hugs and kisses all around.

Silly daddy

Goodnight cuddles

Tonight, Liz and I (mostly Liz) baked Pikelets for Dessert. Essentially, they are sweet pancakes topped with whipped cream and jam. They were Yum!!!

Ps. The Huntsman Spider decided to make an appearance and say hi today. :/

  2. I bet that's not your hand next to the spider.
    Did you scream?

    1. Definitely NOT my hand :) you know me well. Fortunately, I'd been warned of its presence...so no scream. But if one dares to make a surprise appearance, I'm sure the whole neighborhood will know about it.
